Student of the Month

Congratulations to the following students who were nominated by faculty from the Business and Vocational/Industrial Arts departments.

Brayden Bascom, nominated by Mr. Anderson.  "Brayden has an incredible positive attitude.  He also stays on task and asks questions if he needs it."

Avery Parker, nominated by Ms. Averett.  "Avery is a wonderful student to have in class.  She has a great attitude and is always wiling to help and participate in class.  She is a hard worker and a great example to everyone in the class."

Congratulations to the October Students of the Month, nominated by faculty in the Fine Arts Department.

Andrew Madsen, nominated by Mr. Booth.  "Andrew joined us late in the semester amidst a host of changes in his life including coming to a new school where he doesn't know very many people, if any.  Despite this, Andrew has caught up with the work in Ukulele and is showing he is a capable musician and student all around."

Congratulations to the following students who were nominated by members of the History Department:

Sully Hall, nominated by Mr. Jacobus.  "Sully has brought enthusiasm to our first period class.  He is always on top of his work and has great insights into World History."

Bridie Harkness, nominated by Mr. Jacobus.  "Bridie is a great classmate who works with those around her.  Her participation in class has helped create a positive classroom environment."

The following students were chosen by faculty as Students of the Month for May.

Aleck Graves, nominated by Mr. Pickett.

Lydia Burnah, nominated by Mr. Pickett.

David Jones, nominated by Mr. Pace.  "David is a joy to have in class.  I have gotten to know him in math and history this year.  He is engaging and he cares about his work.  He has a strong work ethic and plays along great with all of my jokes."

Ethan Rock, nominated by Mr. Bishop.  "Ethan is always prepared.  He's the one I can always count on to have a great response when I ask question in class.  He's very respectful, a hard worker and is very deserving of recognition as Student of the Month."

Congratulations to the following students for being nominated Students of the Month in the Health/PE Department.

Marco Aguayo, nominated by Mrs. Hall.  "Marco works SO hard every single day in class!  He never misses & he pushes himself to his max effort and leaves with a sweaty shirt daily!  He never complains and is willing to learn and work on improving his fitness. He is an inspiring example to everyone around him!"

Great job SHS students who were chosen, by the faculty of the Math Department, as Students of the Month in February.

Jeryck McCoy, nominated by Mrs. Wilding.  "Jeryck takes responsibility for his own learning.  He is a self-starter, asks great questions, and strives for understanding. He works in class even when classmates will not.  I am glad he is in my class."

Congratulations to the January Students of the Month chosen from the English Department.

Nixon Rapier, nominated by Mrs. Jones.  " Nixon is a very hard worker in English.  He contributes to all discussions and takes the role of a leader.  He clearly cares about his work."

Keirra Riches, nominated by Mrs. Jones.  "Keirra is wonderful to have in class.  She is driven and cares about every assignment, doing each thoroughly.  She is a good example to her peers."

The following students were nominated by faculty in the Science Department:

Darin Briggs, nominated by Mr. Condie.  Darin is a very hard worker in Biology.  He asks questions and contributes to discussions.  He takes the leadership role during group work.  He cares about learning and it has been a pleasure having him in my class.

Congratulations to the following students for being chosen as Student of the Month from the CTE/Business Department:

Rhett Fullmer, nominated by Ms. White:  Rhett never misses class and is always on task in Game Development.  Also, he always has a smile and is willing help others.  He always puts his bets effort into his work.

Ali Maynard, nominated by Ms. Hansen:  Ali is always eager to learn and improve her skills.  She is quick to be the first to answer a question I ask the class.  I can tell she puts her best effort into creating and completing her projects.
