Red Devils narrowly defeat Golden Eagles

In an exciting last home game of the season, Springville’s Red Devils didn’t disappoint with a stellar, but close victory over local rival Maple Mountain, 46-44.  Springville handed Maple Mountain its first region loss of the season. The Red Devils were led by Andrew Slack, who scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

D’Males Perform at last home game

Valentine’s Day was so sweet watching the D’Males perform during halftime.  This annual SHS tradition is when the boys become the drill team and the girls, D’Velles, teach and choreograph the dance.  So entertaining for all.

Red Devils clip Skyhawks’ wings

On Friday, February 10, Springville High’s boys varsity basketball team traveled to Salem in a match-up against the Skyhawks.  The Red Devils brought home a road win, 64-43.  Springville picked up their eighth region win with the road victory over Salem Hills, 64-43. Andrew Slack had 22 points while Josh Elison had 14 points to lead the way.

Lady Red Devil easily win Region 8 Title

On Valentine’s Day, Springville’s Lady Red Devils girls basketball blew past local rival Maple Mountain, 78-51.  Savannah Sumsion and Cheyanne Brown each had huge performances adding 23 and 22 points respectively in the win.

Lady Red Devil Seniors Honored

Taylee Smith, Team Manager Honored

Senior Taylee Smith has served the Springville High Red Devil girls basketball team for the past two years as team manager.  Smith wants nothing more than to actually play high school sports.  On Valentine’s Day, she got her chance.  Smith started the game and scored on the first play.  This was an incredible moment for Smith, the entire team, and all the fans in attendance.  Smith is a Senior this year and was honored with all the other Senior team members.
