On Friday, December 4, Springville High FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), competed in the regional competition at Utah Valley University. 

Students who participated: Matt Boel, Jared Coles, Elwin Golding, Julia Gonzales, Rafael Gonzalez, Caleb Houtz, Jonathan Howes, Janessa Lewis, Garrett Lopshire, and Erick Vargas.

The following students and teams placed in their competitive events:

On Tuesday, November 24, at Springville, our Lady Red Devil basketball team crushed Timpview, 58-40. Lydia Austin owned the court, scoring 30 points, and making seven 3 point shots that helped Springville on their road to victory. Olivia Park and Savannah Sumsion also added a valuable contribution with both of them scoring 10-12 points respectively.

This is Mr. David Valeti’s first year teaching at Springville High.  He was assigned to SHS last year as a student-teacher.  He teaches inclusion English, inclusion Biology and also Study Skills. 

“My vision is to help students realize their true potential and assist them in identifying what their likes and skills are and how they can apply that to a job or their education,” said Valeti.
