SHS December Students of the Month from the Science Department

The following students were nominated by faculty in the Science Department:

Darin Briggs, nominated by Mr. Condie.  Darin is a very hard worker in Biology.  He asks questions and contributes to discussions.  He takes the leadership role during group work.  He cares about learning and it has been a pleasure having him in my class.

Natalie Florence, nominated by Mr. Roylance.  Natalie is an excellent student.  Her work is always spot on.  She asks great questions when she needs help and really works well with others,.  Her positive outlook and friendly personality make her a wonderful student and peer.

Quinlan Mason, nominated by Mr. Deming.  I have had Quinlan for Physics last year and now for Geology (as well as Astronomy next semester).  He is always willing to comment in class when most students don't.  He is very smart, outgoing, and I appreciate his positive disposition every day.

Katherine Wright, nominated by Mrs. Draper.  Kate is a delight to have in class.  She is smart, a hard worker and very helpful.  I have taught her for the last two years and I have enjoyed watching her succeed.

Matthew Guinn, nominated by Mr. Morgan.  Matt asks great questions, and is curious about science. He works well with his groups to solve difficult labs.  He has shown a lot of growth in retaking test until he gets a higher score.

Rachel Giles, nominated by Mr. Shelley.  Rachel is great in class.  She is very helpful in class and loves to help her fellow classmates.
