Mr. Beardall recognized as Assistant Principal of the Year

Congratulations to Jason Beardall and Tiffanie Miley for being recognized in Nebo School District as Outstanding Secondary Principals.

Jason Beardall was selected among his peers as Nebo’s Assistant Principal of the Year. Jason has served as the Assistant Principal for Springville High since 2018. Previously he served as Dean of Students for three years. Jason also taught health at  Spanish Fork Junior for six years, served as Campus Supervisor for Springville High for two years, and as a teacher’s aide and Cornerstone technician for three years.

SHS Chinese Classes Celebrate Chinese New Year

Chinese classes celebrated Chinese New Year in class last week, they learned a Chinese song, fan dance, Chinese Classic dance and 3 tyles of Kongfu. They also wrote New Year couplets, wrapped and ate some dumplings, and some students and parents went to Timpview High and UVU  too. It was a lot of fun, Happy the year of Rabbit!

SHS welders compete

Congratulations to our own SHS Welding Competition team. They recently competed at the Nebo Welding Invitational on Jan. 20th and will be competing at the USU Eastern Welding Contest in Price on Jan. 30th. The team consists of Luke Barksdale, Piper Koense, and Taylor Thomas. Their coach is Mr. Ostler. Good luck to them!

Meet Mr. Peterson

Springville High School would like to introduce our newest teacher, Mr. Cassidy Peterson.  Mr. Peterson is teaching in the Math Department, as Mr. Brad Thornton has moved to the District Office.  We would like to wish them both best of luck for the rest of the school year.

Congratulations to the January Students of the Month chosen from the English Department.

Nixon Rapier, nominated by Mrs. Jones.  " Nixon is a very hard worker in English.  He contributes to all discussions and takes the role of a leader.  He clearly cares about his work."

Keirra Riches, nominated by Mrs. Jones.  "Keirra is wonderful to have in class.  She is driven and cares about every assignment, doing each thoroughly.  She is a good example to her peers."

Nebo Community School Winter 2023

Nebo Community School classes are here. The classes will begin in January, so join a class to help those winter blues. This is an amazing opportunity to expand your horizons and improve your abilities. The goal of the Community School Program is to meet the needs and interests of the people in the community. There are many course options to choose from, recommendations are encouraged. We would love to see you there!
