School Community Council

School Community Council Overview

The council has approximately $238,475.43 to spend this year to help increase student learning. The council also reviews and changes the School Improvement Plan/TSSA Plan and the monies spent with Trustland funds to benefit our students.

Parents and community members are welcome to attend any scheduled meeting and serve on the council. If you have input on any school matter, please contact any member of the council.

Nominations are held at the beginning of each school year and any parent who has a student in our school for the upcoming year may run. Election times and instructions will be made available on our website, social media, and through email at the beginning of the school year. We encourage all interested parents to be a part of the School Community Council. Each term on the council is two years. There are no term limits for parents. They may serve if they have a child attending the school during the two-year term. A Chair and Vice Chair are nominated each year for SCC. Once a motion is made for someone to serve in these capacities, it must be seconded, and voted upon. If a council member moves away or fails to attend meetings regularly, their position may be filled by another person whom the council selects.
