Springville High students and community members came out in large numbers to support their Red Devil football team last Friday evening, August 18, before school officially starts on Tuesday, August 22.  The entire game was exciting ending in a close loss to Dixie, 35-34.

With under two minutes remaining, Springville’s (0-1) senior quarterback Ty Eriksson ran for a 26-yard touchdown bringing the Red Devils only 1 point away from a potential tie.  Unfortunately for the Red Devils, they were unable to put the football through the uprights ending in a Dixie 1 point win.
