February Students of the Month

Congratulations to the February Students of the Month. These students have been nominated by faculty members from the Math Department.

Sione Isaac, nominated by Mrs. Langford. "Isaac has learned 'how to learn'; this year. He really tries to understand the concepts we are working on by asking meaningful questions in class and asking for help when he needs it on his assignments. I always know when the 'lightbulb clicks on' because he says "OHHHHH....I get it" and his face literally lights up.

Abilyn Rivera-Martinez, nominated by Ms. Booth. "Abi works so incredibly hard in class. She always asks phenomenal questions and she's concerned about actual learning. She has improved a ton this year because of that hard work. She is also exceptionally kind to everyone around her."

Brigham Penrod, nominated by Mr. Peterson. "Brigham is an incredible student. Always paying attention and participating in class discussions. May of his comments in class have led to great insights in the discussion. When it comes time to work he is not timid in helping those around him understand the math."

Kate Parkinson, nominated by Mrs. Park. "Kate is a wonderful student! She always pays attention in class, works hard and asks questions when she needs a little help. She is willing to help others and is so kind to her classmates. She has a great attitude. She is thoughtful and respectful. She is a joy to have in class!"

Sebastian Corona, nominated by Mrs. Ogilvie. "Sebastian is such an amazing math Student! He is always found working hard on his assignments, is so polite and respectful and is just a delight to have in class. He even says "That's cool" when I give him an explanation to a question that he has about the math. I really enjoy having Sebastian in my class!"

Annie Low, nominated by Mr. Dollar. "Annie is a student I've had for two years and she's been phenomenal o have in class. She is someone that will make sure to put in any extra time needed to make sure that she doesn't only "get the grade" but she truly gets to the point of understanding the material. She did exceptional in math 1050 and is currently one of the best students in my 1060 class. Annie is awesome!"

Rocco Scott, nominated by Mr. Pickett. "Rocco works hard to understand new concepts and always comes to class with a smile and a positive attitude. His personality and enthusiasm helps all those around him to also do better. Rocco' s peers always share how happy he is and how much they look up to him. Rocco is an important part of each of his classes and a great example to those around him."
