Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (February 10-14).

Exciting news from Sage Creek Elementary! Our 1st graders are diving deep into the layers of the Earth with their CKLA Knowledge lessons. Last week, they got hands-on by creating pudding models of the Earthās crust, mantle, and core! This fun and delicious activity helps our young learners visualize and understand the complex structure of our planet.
Through engaging lessons, theyāre exploring how volcanoes and geysers provide clues about what lies beneath us. Stay tuned for more updates as our students continue their journey through The History of the Earth domain, learning about rocks, minerals, and even fossils!

XīnniÔn kuà ilè Happy New Year!
Today, our talented students from the Chinese Immersion Program showcased an incredible performance for our school community! Each grade sang beautifully, sharing songs that highlighted the richness of Chinese culture. We were also delighted to learn about the fascinating origin of the Chinese Zodiac, adding depth to our cultural understanding.
This performance was just a warm-up for tonightās grand event at Springville High School, where our students will join with those from the middle, junior high, and high school for an unforgettable celebration of culture and unity. We couldnāt be prouder of our students as they take this exciting step onto the larger stage!
Come and support our budding performers tonight and experience the magic of Chinese culture through music and storytelling. See you at Springville High School tonight (5:30-8:00)!

Mrs. Gleave's 4th graders have been learning about animal adaptations and habitats. They culminated their study by dissecting Owl Pellets and creating Bird Sculptures.

Congratulations to Angel, Hudson, KambryAnn, Abril, Henry, Will, Cooper, Berkley, Remi, Wes, Kinley, Ivy and Addie on achieving their "Fired Up to Learn Goals".

Our talented 4th graders are diving into a world of invention and creativity with the "Eureka", a student Inventor unit in CKLA. Over the next 10 days, these young innovators will embark on a narrative-driven ELA Quest that transforms learning into an adventure!
Guided by legendary inventors like Jacques Cousteau, Hedy Lamarr, Thomas Edison, and George Washington Carver, our students are contestants on a thrilling reality TV game show. They'll explore complex texts, identify real-world problems, and create evidence-based solutions, all while honing their skills in research, communication, and teamwork.
Together in their "labs," students will engage in dynamic discussions and challenges, sparking ideas and fostering a love for discovery. Stay tuned for updates as our 4th graders take on the role of inventors and bring their brilliant ideas to life!

For more information about the Chinese program and how to join, come to the Parent Information Meeting on February 20th at 4:00 pm in the Sage Creek gym or contact leann.betts@nebo.edu.
