Valedictorians, Salutatorian, and 4.0 Seniors honored at Awards Breakfast

The 4.0 Honors Breakfast was held on Tuesday, March 28th in the SHS Auditorium.   James Fowler and Thomas Jones were named as co-Valedictorians and Kate Harlow was named as Salutatorian.   The Seniors who had maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0 for 4 years were also honored.  These students are Katie Anderson, Marissa G Anderson, Kristine A Bartholomew, Taylor L Bingham, Ella J Broughton, Wesley W Brunt, Alexa A Child, Audree M Clark, Myah H Clements, Sadie Crandall, Alta L Crane, Brightin S Davis, Allie Dorman, Kathryn Durfey, Ellie D Esplin, Jenna L Fleming, Lydia R Florence, Abigail D Fol

SHS Students participate in University of Utah Chinese Language Fair

SHS students recently participated in the University of Utah's Chinese Language Fair.   The Language Fair provides and opportunity for Chinese language High School students from across Utah to demonstrate their acquisition of the Chinese language in the following events:  Chinese Speech, Chinese Singing, Chinese Jeopardy, and Chinese Drama.    SHS students received final nominations:   Abigail Folkman in Chinese Speech, Jonny Fowler in Chinese Singing, and  the SHS team for Chinese Jeopardy.   Katie McConnell, Ethan Goslin, Noel Gee, Addisyn Morley and Abbie Folkman received "Best Performan

Springville High and Sarah Ferrin Earn the Nebo #Hashtag Award

Congratulations to Springville High School, in Nebo School District, and their school PR Ambassador, Sarah Ferrin, for earning the Nebo #Hashtag Award. This award is given to the school that communicates to their parents and students, in a variety of ways, the events and important news items happening at school. Springville High has posted 20 stories this past month and hundreds of stories this year.

SHS Thespians perform at Region Competition

Congratulations to the Red Devils Actors who competed at Region Competition.    The following actors qualified for State:

Aurelia Olson crowned Miss Springville/Mapleton

Congratulations to Red Devil Aurelia Olson who was crowned Miss Springville/Mapleton last weekend.  Aurelia's social impact initiative is "Every Child Safe: Helping Protect Children from Abuse."   Aurelia is a talented singer and dancer and is very involved here at Springville High School and in the community.  Best wishes for her upcoming year.

HOSA students compete at State

HOSA is a national organization for secondary students enrolled in Health Science classes.    HOSA members from SHS recently competed at State Competition.   Ellianna Gurr and Paris Herrick placed 2nd in the CERT skills event!  Congrats to them and their teammates!   You can support our HOSA students by signing up for their Blood Drive on March 27th.

 

SHS FBLA students compete at State, two qualify for Nationals

Our Springville Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) returned from the FBLA State Conference that was held at the Davis Conference Center in Layton last Monday through Wednesday.  We earned a total of 6 awards and have 2 students qualify to attend Nationals this summer in Atlanta, Georgia!
