Undefeated and Unfazed

On Friday, October 6, Springville High’s varsity football team took on Murray High in the state 4A quarterfinals. The game ended in defeat for Murray when they weren’t able to score a single point, ending in Springville shutting out Murray, 35-0.  Springville advances to the semifinals.  Springville kept their unchanged record and are still undefeated.

After a slow start, the Red Devils exploded for 21 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a commanding lead, and didn't look back en route to the victory over Murray.  Devyn Tate ran for a 70-yard TD, and Brennen Rymer contributed a pick 6 in the win.

Next week Springville will travel to Rice Eccles stadium to play East High’s football team in the state semifinal matchup.  Springville (11-0) is paired with East (9-2), in the class 4A
semifinals this Thursday, November 12. The question on everyone’s mind is will they come out on top.
