Mrs. Demmi Nava-Zapien, a teacher at Springville High School, was invited to be a keynote speaker at the recent Latinos In Action Gala held at Thanksgiving Point. As an LIA Alumni and now, an LIA Teacher at Springville High, Demmi shared the story of her life’s journey to help others and the struggles she was able to overcome. In addition to being able to present at the conference, Demmi took 25 of her students to the Gala and they were able to help with seating guests, checking coats, presenting awards, and running the silent auction. It was a great night for Springville High and our Latinos In Action students.
