Springville High student, Monet Jorgenson (a Junior), will soon have another literary work published.  Her latest publish piece is titled "Girl" and it's a dictionary poem. Dictionary poems follow the format of stating a word (the title of the piece) and then giving two or three "definitions", which act as the main body of the poem.

“I don't quite know what inspired me, but the message I was trying to get across was that girls have power. They are forces of nature, not to be messed with,” said Jorgenson.

Her poem will appear in the 2018 Spring Issue #3 of THAT Literary Review, an online literary magazine.

“I intend, in the future, to keep writing. I don't have any specific plans, but I hope to continue writing until the day I die,” said Jorgenson.

Jorgenson said, “I'd give others the advice to never stop writing. Your work will get rejected, people will fail to see your genius, but you have to keep writing until you find a publisher who sees your work for what it is--Art.”
