Hope week, October 18-22, was full of so many activities bringing hope that we all need! Hope Squad planned so many great activities to bring the student body uplifting messages and awareness. On Tuesday, motivational button pins were handed out to each student as they watched a video of Hope Squad. The video went over what activities were planned for the week, introduced all the Hope Squad members, and went over QPR training for suicide prevention. Wednesday was chalk the walk which allowed students to use their creativity and imagination to create inspiring messages and art in the courtyard. The chalk drawings were so cool! Thursday was Hope Squad’s first annual Hope Walk! They met at Allens parking lot and walked on Main Street to spread suicide prevention awareness and remember those we have lost to suicide. On Friday Hope Squad came early and passed out donuts to students as they entered school to remind each student of their importance. Sadie’s was then on Saturday where students had such a blast and got groovy! Thank you to all who participate in the activity to make such a great Hope Week!
