Junior Girls Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program: This is national scholarship, leadership, and life skills program for Distinguished Young Women. It is for any Junior girl in high school. It is free to participate. Last year they awarded 2,200 cash scholarships to colleges of choice to girls from South Utah County. The Deadline is February 9th.

Red Devil Swimming had an excellent Region Championship Meet. The Men's and Women's teams both placed second overall. We had a number of high finishers along with being named Region Champs in 8 of the 22 total events.
On Tuesday, February 26th, Juniors will be taking the ACT at school. Now is great time to start preparing! There are several free practice tests and websites with helpful resources listed on the Testing Page of our Counseling Website. Shmoop is a wonderful resource, students can use the magic word HIKING for free practice tests.

Even if you decide not to accept the scholarship, let us know by using the Scholarship Reporting Form so that we can recognize you at our Senior Award Assembly. There are several Keys to Success Scholarships that are due by Feburary 15th, make sure you get your applications in!
Next week is Mr. Springville Week! Come join us and watch some of our Senior boys compete in fun activities for the chance to represent Springville High School this year.
ALA Utah Girls and Boys State is a week long program created with the purpose of educating Utah youth about their duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of citizenship. Attending will give you three Political Science credits from Weber State University and count as your U.S. Government class as a senior.
