Springville brings home road win against new Lehi high school Skyridge

Springville's Red Devil varsity football team traveled to Lehi on Friday, September 7, to face new Lehi high school Skyridge continuing the Red Devil undefeated record, 28-21.   The Red Devils poured on the heat during the third quarter to help them get the victory over Skyridge.  Jantsen Thorpe threw two touchdowns and ran for one more to lead the Red Devils in the win.

Many Red Devil student body members traveled to show their school spirit and support.

Red Devils pull out win in double OT

In the last minutes of the game, Springville had a comfortable lead over visitor Lehi until the Pioneers scored three touchdowns to send the game into overtime. Springville's quarterback Jantsen Thorpe scored on a 1-yard run in the second overtime as the Red Devils topped the Lehi Pioneers in double overtime to improve to 2-0 this season. Thorpe threw a pair of passing touchdowns earlier in the game.

Red Devils bring home first road win

Last Friday, August 19, the Springville Red Devils traveled to St. George to meet up with the Dixie Flyers in the first varsity football game of the season ending in a Red Devil victory, 37-21.

Springville’s Brennen Rymer had a 99-yard kick return, Cole Bowers rushed for two TDs, and Ty Eriksson tossed in two more to help lift the Red Devils over Dixie in the season opener.  Dixie’s Jacob Barben rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another to lead the Flyers in the loss.
