Submitted by carey.white on Wed, 01/04/2017 - 13:04

Kylee Pearson is our new foods teacher here at Springville High.   This is her first year teaching; however, she student taught at Payson High School.  Her most rewarding teaching experiences are when students tell her about their cooking experiences at home.

She is married to Daniel Pearson and she loves to ride motorcycles, especially dirt bikes.  She actually raced dirt bikes for many years!  She also likes to make soap.

Springville FFA Enjoys the Gift of Giving

Submitted by carey.white on Thu, 12/22/2016 - 12:23

What a wonderful time of the year for Springville FFA and Springville High School.  We were able to participate in the United Way’s Sub-4-Santa program. The FFA along with many other clubs at the school had the privilege of providing Christmas for 50 local children. For those who know about the FFA Sweethearts contest put on in the spring, all money raised from the cake auction is what helps us be able to provide Christmas for others in our community. Thank you to everyone that helped make Sub-4- Santa a success again this year.

What better way to start Christmas break but with an amazing music assembly for our student body and staff by our Fine Arts department.

Performances by Wind Symphony, all SHS Choirs, and Jazz Band were entertaining and wonderful.

Greenhand Ceremony

Submitted by carey.white on Wed, 12/21/2016 - 11:08

We want to congratulate our first year members for earning their Greenhand Degrees.   At Springville Junior High there was a creed speaking contest in which members competed in saying the creed. The creed is a five paragraph belief statement that FFA members memorize.

All of the first year members were awarded their Greenhand pin for their jackets and also received a certificate in honor of being a Greenhand. Congratulations to all those who received their Greenhand Degree.
