"The mission of the Mountainland Applied Technology College is to provide market-driven career and technical education to both secondary and adult students, which meets the demand by Mountainland Region employers for technically skilled workers. This is accomplished through competency-based education and training programs, which may be long term, short term, apprenticeship, or custom designed for individual employer needs. Many of the programs are offered in an open-entry, open-exit format, providing flexibility for students and employers. Students are assisted in acquiring the basic skills necessary to succeed in these technical training programs. These programs are tuition free for high school students, but fees are still assessed."

WBL extends the walls of SHS classroom learning to include the community. Students can pursue their chosen career during the school day as an intern. Applications are available form your counselor.
