The Student Education Occupational Plan is a process setup wherein school counselors track each student's scholastic progress and their educational/occupational plans.
For Sophomores, counselors conduct a group SEOP once each term in the Computer Technology and Health classes, where information on student success, careers, eating disorders and drup addiction is presented. Counselors also visit all English 10 classes each December to share general information about college and careers, and then visit with each student individually to discuss specific career goals, college decisions and plans for Junior year classes.
Junior SEOPs start mid-February. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Invitations are mailed out stating the time and date of each student's SEOP. In the Junior SEOP the counselors review each student's credit evaluation and recommend classes needed for graduation. This is also the time that Juniors register for their Senior year classes.
Senior SEOPs are conducted at the beginning of the year. Parents are encouraged to attend! Invitations are sent out listing the time and date of each student's SEOP. During the Senior SEOP, students fill out their graduation application, receive information regarding scholarships and college applications, and get to take home their SEOP folders.
