By the end of the first term, students will be taught the following:

1. How to freehand sketch.
2. How to open the SoftPlan program.
3. Standard sizes of openings (doors and windows).

By the end of the second term, students will be taught the following:

1. How to dimension a floor plan.
2. How to draw an electrical plan.
3. How to draw a plot/site plan.

By the end of the third term, students will be taught the following:

1. How to draw a site plan.
2. How to position a building on a site plan.
3. How to draw a wall section.

By the end of the fourth term, students will be taught the following:

1. How to assemble a complete set of residential house plans.
2. How to build a model of a house.
3. How to figure building costs.
