WELDING 1:

By the end of the first/third term, I want the students to know the following:

1. How to recognize and practice safe shop procedures
2. How to cut metal with an oxygen/ acetylene torch and a plasma cutter
3. How to weld a correct stringer bead with an arc welder

By the end of second/fourth term, I want the students to know the following:

1. How to set a GMAW to the proper setting for 1/8” plate and .083 tube.
2. How to weld two pieces of tubing to a ninety degree angle so that the ends are sealed.
3. How to use a cold saw to cut a piece of steel.

WELDING 2:

By the end of the first/third term, I want the students to know the following:

1. How to estimate the cost of a project or repair. 
2. How to correctly set up and use a pulse welder
3. How to correctly fill out a lab report following given directions

By the end of second/fourth term, I want the students to know the following:

1. How to weld with a GTAW or TIG welder.
2. How to use a dual shield welder.
3. How to carbon arc gouge.
4. How to fill out a resume and a job application.
