Multimedia Design

By the end of 4th Term the student will:

1. Know the document/file formats that are used in producing multimedia materials: ie. jpeg, tif, aif, wav, mov, eps, pdf, mpeg and gif.
2. Know how to capture moving images using a dv video camera.
3. Know how to capture still images using a fix-lens digital camera.
4. Know how to create a 2-D animation using Flash.
5. Complete a detailed map, to scale, using Adobe Illustrator.
6. Understand the emotions of color and how it affects the viewer.
7. Have mastered the basics of Adobe PHotoShop® CS3 to create a painting.
8. Develop a 30 second slide show and set it to a score created in Garage Band.
9. Design a printed image and apply it onto a Digital Video Disk.
10. Compile a menu based digital video disk that will contain the compilation of the student’s entire class-work/projects.
