In a stellar first home game of the Springville High School Red Devil Football team scored a whopping 21 to 14 against the Dixie Flyers last Friday night, August 21, 2009. The crowd was full of spirit and the band played magnificently as our football team stormed the field with fierce determination to win. After the first quarter, the score was 0 to 7. Later the Flyers made another touchdown but Springville’s spirit did not die. Aaron Grey of the mighty Red Devils scored the first touchdown making the score 7 to 14. During the second half of the game, the Red Devils had two more touchdowns, made by Jordan Sumsion and Todd Giles. Roaring and cheering, the crowd ran onto the field to celebrate the hard-earned victory. “Keep working hard, team. With effort, we’ll improve greatly and win every game!” commented Coach Bills after the game. Good job SHS!
