Last Friday night at Springville High, the Red Devils took on the Golden Eagles of Maple Mountain, which ended in an exciting game with the Red Devils taking the 55-43 win.

The game started with the Red Devils taking the first half 22-21 with Max Schreiner leading in points with 10.

“Max had a great game and will only improve,” said fellow teammate Dawson Pederson.

Max is only a sophomore and is already making a big impact on the games early in his career.  But, before the half ended, Dawson Pederson drained a three-pointer which definitely gave the Red Devils a huge momentum; he ran to the locker room screaming at the crowd with excitement.

After the half, Maple Mountain wasn’t done yet; they had a huge surge and eventually took the lead from the Red Devils when they were up 33-26 with help from KJ Hall and Jace Edmunds.  With great performances from McKay Murphy and Parker Brady, the Red Devils stole the lead right back and ended the game with the 55-43 win.

Parker Brady led the team in points with 13 and Murphy with 12.

Both Brady and Murphy said, “We were on fire.”
