On Thursday, April 20, Haden Penrod and Anela Christensen signed national letters of intent to continue their running careers at the collegiate level.

Christensen signed with Dixie State University and will be joining their cross country program this Fall.

Penrod signed with Brigham Young University for mid-distance running and will be joining the team after he returns from a two year LDS mission.  Penrod joins one of the best recruiting classes in the nation that currently consists of multiple elite distance runners, throwers, and sprinters.  Penrod is the second track athlete in the class of 2017 from Springville High to join the BYU Cougars.

Julie Sumsion signed her letter of intent earlier in the school year and will be running both cross country and track at BYU starting next Fall.
