Fall weather and football could not have been better for the Springville Red Devils when they hosted the Orem Tigers on the first round of state play sending the Tigers home and continuing the undefeated Red Devil season, 42-17.   Turnovers played a key role as Springville intercepted four Orem passes.

Payton Kelepolo rushed for four touchdowns as Springville dominated Orem for the 4A first-round victory.  Kelepolo scored two quick touchdowns in the first quarter to set the tone and the Red Devils never looked back.  Cole Bowers, Brennen Rymer, and Jantsen Thorpe each added a TD in the win.

The next state quarterfinal playoff game will be against Woods Cross this Friday, November 4, at 4:00pm at Springville High’s home field.   Tickets will be priced at $5 for students and seniors over 65, $8 for adults, and free for children 5 and under.
