Welcome to Red Devil Territory!

Springville High’s homecoming game was electrifying; the Red Devils lit the field up for homecoming with a booming start to the game.  Bennet Hullinger sparked SHS with a 30 yard touchdown run early in the first quarter.  A few minutes later, star quarterback Jantsen Thorpe threw a 75 yard touchdown pass to Hullinger to make the score 14-0 early on. Hullinger ended the night with 2 rushes for 30 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for 75 yards.  Shutting out Spanish Fork again, SHS got the ball back in Thorpe’s hands. The result was a 40 yard touchdown pass to Brennen Rymer making the score 21-0 in the first quarter of the game.

But, Springville’s win was all but certain with Spanish Fork out-scoring the Devils 27-6 over the course of the next 3 quarters tying the score at 27-27.  Going into OT, Spanish Fork received the ball to start.  The Don’s drive was short lived when it ended with a fumble turning the ball over to SHS. Thorpe going 5 for 12 for 128 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 interception drove the ball down the field, ending with Payton Kelepolo running in a 2 yard touchdown giving him 35 carries with 182 yards and two touchdowns to end the game with a Red Devil hard fought victory, 33-27.
