Ty Erikkson, the quarter back for the SHS Red Devils, has been playing football since fifth grade.

“After high school, I’d’ like to play for Ohio State,” said Erikkson.

He prepares for every game by listening to music and just relaxing clearing his mind of everything except for the upcoming game. He loves playing football, especially since anyone can try out. His favorite football player is Tom Brady.

Cole Bowers is a running back and a free safety for our Red Devils football team. He has been playing football since he was eight years old. In college he wants to play for Oklahoma or Miami State. Similar to Erikkson, Bowers also loves to listen to calming music before the game to clear his head.

“I play for fun and for all of the friendships involved with the team,” said Bowers.

His favorite football player is Randall Cobb.

As another running back and defensive end, Bradley Nicol has been playing since third grade. He dreams of playing for Ohio State after high school.

“I love the environment. I love being an influence to other kids and athletes,” said Nicol.

Rodrigue Bertrand, a defensive back receiver, is playing football for his first year. His favorite football player is Odell Beckham Junior.

“All I do before a game is listen to music and just clear my head,” he said.

Bertrand wants play for the New York Giants. He loves to play football because it is fun.
