Camille Callister is one of our new English teachers here at Springville High.  This is her first year teaching; however, last year she was an intern at Spanish Fork High.  Callister teaches sophomores and juniors, English 10 and 11.

“My vision is to create a classroom where my students feel safe, in an atmosphere that allows them to learn at the highest levels possible,” said Callister.

Callister is truly a Red Devil, “I graduated from Springville High School in 1981, and it feels good to be "home" again!”

Her most rewarding teaching experiences is when she helps to create good relationships with her students.

On a personal note, she has five children, ages 18 - 31, three grandchildren, and a little Shih Tzu named Rosie.  She enjoys reading, writing, gardening, art, and music.

The most unusual job she had was delivering newspapers the summer before her internship.  She started delivering at 2 a.m. and her route was in the farmlands around Salem.  It was dark and the houses were sometimes few and far between, so it was a little eerie at times.
