Great Dodge Balls of Fire
On Monday and Tuesday, April 18-19, Springville High’s sports marketing class organized a dodgeball tournament with giant success. Each team had the chance to compete for the chance to win the title of dodgeball champions. Full of excitement, the participating students “duked it out” on the floor of the main gym. A few close calls were made and many fantastic moves were demonstrated by the players; overall, great games were fun for all observers.
A total of six teams competed against one another. The winning team consisted of Jaylon Miyasaki, Alex Duncan, Mckay Murphy, Brody Swanson, Bradly Kitchen, Perry Davis and Alex Sisk. A total of $100 profit was made in concessions. This was purely a learning experience for the sports marketing class; but, someday when they can make enough profit they would like to put it towards a good cause.
This is only the second year dodgeball has been sponsored by the sports marketing class and they wish to continue the tradition in the future.
“I really enjoyed watching it and really hope they do continue; I can’t wait for next year,” said Jason Averett.
