Red Devil Baseball bat down East, 11-1

On Wednesday, May 18, Springville faced East in 4A State Baseball Playoffs.   Clayton Strong pitched a complete game, allowing four hits to go with seven strikeouts, to lead the Red Devils to victory.  Scott Averett went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Springville.

Red Devil Boys Soccer travel to Golden Eagle territory

On Thursday, May 5, Springville varsity boys soccer traveled to Maple Mountain to face to Golden Eagles in region play.  Maple Mountain’s Angel Menendez netted two goals to lead seven goal scorers for the Golden Eagles in their dominant win over Springville.  Golden Eagle Spencer Young posted the shutout in goal for Maple Mountain.

Lady Red Devils shut-out the Pirates, 13-0, in first round of softball state play

Springville’s Kaycie Jensen shut down the Lady Pirates, giving up zero runs and only one hit in five innings.  Jensen also hit a triple as part of a 13-hit effort by the Lady Red Devils in their win over Cyprus.   Game was played at Springville on Wednesday, May 18.

Lady Red Devils Golf Team finishes 10th in State Tourney

On Tuesday, May 17, the following Red Devil girls golf members competed in the Utah State High School Tournament.  As a team, Springville finished 10th.

Region Individual Standings:  Lydia Austin won the region and Jessey Simons took second.

"We qualified for the second day of the state tournament, which was the top ten teams, and that is where we finished. I am happy about our performance and look forward to next year because of the potential we have," said coach Brett Miller.
