HOPE SQUAD:

You have the opportunity to nominate new Hope Squad Members! The Hope Squad is a group of students nominated by their peers as people with naturally good listening skills and are generally easy people to talk to. Hope Squad members will not be “counselors” but will learn ways to help others get help. Being part of the Hope Squad includes initial trainings along with monthly meetings. Please nominate people you would trust to go talk to during a difficult time. If you are interested in being on the Hope Squad and feel you are someone people trust, you may nominate yourself. Go to the school webside (shs.nebo.edu) and click on the link to nominate Hope Squad members. You will need to log in to your school email to participate.Nominations are due by this Friday, September 4th. See the counseling office if you have any questions.

Lady Red Devils Volleyball dig in to beat both Tmpanogos and Timpview

On Thursday, August 20, Springville’s Lady Red Devils volleyball traveled to Timpanogos and came home with the win, 99-61.  Amanda Schultz led the Red Devils with 10 kills and 8 digs, as Springville beat the Timberwolves in four sets. Courtney Mackay earned 27 assists on the night, and teammate Carmen Payne was stand out with 12 digs. Nicole Wheeler with 5 solo blocks.

On Thursday, August 27, the Lady Red Devils hosted the Timpview Thunderbirds at home securing the win, 75-48. 

Lady Red Devils Soccer win first two region games

On Thursday, August 20, Springville’s Lady Red Devils soccer hosted the Payson Lions in the first region game of the season shutting the Lions out, 4-0.    Springville used a collaborative scoring attack as four different players found the back of the net to sail past Payson.  Ali Monson, Alyssa Bird, Amy Botcherby, and Anna Smith each scored a goal.

Tuesday, August 25, brought the Lady Red Devils a back-to-back region win against local rival Spanish Fork, ending 5-1, in favor of the Lady Red Devils at home.  Amy Botcherby scored two goals, Claire Duncan, Jayden Nelson, and Cena Warren each had one goal.

Senior Sunrise is this Friday, September 4th at 6:30am! Tickets are $3 and will be sold during lunch this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and after school on Wednesday/Thursday. Buy your tickets in advanced so we can have enough food for everyone! This will be a great way to kick off Senior year!

Thursday, August 27th-Springville High School students DRIVE-IN to our local Sonic (on Main Street) for great food, slushies and a whole lot more.   All proceeds between the hours of 6:00-9:00 PM will be donated to SHS PTO. Bring your friends and family!  1/2 off shakes at 8:00 PM!
