Message From The Career Centers Coordinator
Welcome to Springville High School's Career Center, an integral part of the Counseling and Guidance Department. The Career Center is the hub of post high school preparation for the school. It is a resource for information on everything from careers to colleges to scholarships to internships. Whether a student will attend college or a university, join the armed forces or other service organization, or begin immediately to move up a career ladder, we have helpful information. Make an appointment to meet with us to see how we can help.
Career Center: In addition to a variety of paper and computer resources, Brad Northcutt, Career Coordinator, and staff have plans for some new and exciting programs. After-school or lunch-time workshops will be held on a variety of topics that may include:
*Resources in the Career Center
*Writing a Resume
*Searching for Scholarships
*Preparing a Master Scholarship Application
*Preparing to Complete the FAFSA
*Scheduling a College Visit
*Interviewing for Jobs and Colleges
Work-Based Learning: If you are a qualified junior or senior student, you may train early in a career of your choice by entering Springville High’s Work-Based Learning program. As preparation for an internship, you will take the Critical Workplace Skills class. Work-Based Learning Coordinator Brad Northcutt will individually tailor your internship with a community professional to explore career possibilities and to gain on-the-job experience. http://nebointernships.weebly.com/
